Each poster is an artist's proof SIGNED IN PENCIL by the artist, David Singer.Provenance: The lot includes a handwritten letter from David Singer detailing the edition of 28 complete sets; and a September 1988 handwritten letter from Jana Friedman transferring the set of posters to Ted Simmons, stating in part, "This is an original set given to me by David Singer and signed by him." RARE: One of 28 sets designed by David Singer for Bill Graham's productions at the Fillmore West Ballroom in San Francisco, CA, between June 1969-July 1971, including the poster produced to promote the last concerts at the Fillmore West, designed as a gift to Bill Graham to commemorate the closing of the venue (BG 287).
