Flemish cabinet from the 17th century.
Ebony, tortoiseshell and ebonized wood. Decoration with painted copper panels of the life of Christ, on a modern ebonized base.
Measurements: 163 x 86 x 41 cm (closed); 192 x 140 x 41 cm (open).
Flemish cabinet dating from the 17th century decorated on the outside with relief moldings. It is a monumental piece of furniture, with an architectural structure, with two bodies. The lower one (the table) stands on eight balustraded legs supported by flattened ball legs. The cabinet itself has two doors that, once opened, allow a glimpse of up to nine drawers, three panels and a portico with central columns, the latter equipped like a theater with mirror panels and parquet flooring, all of them painted with the cycle of the apostolic life of Christ. These represent the Healing of a blind man, the Healing of the hemorrhoid woman, the Meeting with Zacchaeus, the Meeting with the Samaritan woman, Peter saved from the waters, the Disciples of Emmaus, the Meeting with the Pharisees, two healing scenes, the Surrender of the keys to San Pedro.
