Description
PASTINE, Francesca (American, b. 1954). Unsolicited Collaboration with Tom Friedman. 2007. Altered and cut Art Forum Magazine. Signed on verso. Sight 10 x 10”. Framed under plexiglass 15 ½ x 15 ½”. With label of the Dean Jensen Gallery on verso. Francesca Pastine's studio practice is informed by larger global trends and their relationship to the personal. The concept and evolution of each project determines the medium and can include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, paper cutting, and installations. Pastine is a recipient of the Eureka Fellowship through the Fleishhacker Foundations, a Pollock-Krasner Grant, and a Kala Art Institute Fellowship. Her work has been included in exhibitions at Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco, Halsely Institute of Contemporary Art in Charleston, The Center for Contemporary Art Santa Fe, and many others. Francesca Pastine received her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. From the “Excavations” series. Not examined out of frame. Excellent condition.
