[MEXICAN FOLK ART]. A Group of Four Hand-Painted Ex-Voto Retablos. [Mexico or the United States, ca. 1960s]. Four hand-painted Ex-Voto offerings, each offering prayers for ill family members along with patron saints. Two have the name of the supplicant, one depicts surgery in a hospital. Oil on reclaimed tin panels. Sizes range from approximately 8 ¾ x 7 ½” to 6 ¾ x 12”. All with marginal nail holes, some wear, soiling, bumps or bends to tin sheets, some visible occasional rust, some occasional chipping with some loss of image or text (two Ex-Votos are quite worn with significant loss of text). Good condition.
