Description
S.A. dagger, with blade approx. 8.75 in. in length, dagger is 13.5 in. overall, with a brown bakelite grip, and solid nickel-silver crossguards. Tightly fitted into the grip is SA roundel and national eagle insignia. The ricasso bears the maker's mark for Bolte & Anschutz, Solingen. The acid-etched 'Alles fur Deutschland' (‘All for Germany’) motto remains visible, though the blade displays areas of oxidation throughout Assembled post war with an original World War II era blade, crossguards, and insignia, the dagger exhibits a bakelite grip of postwar construction. This dagger and others like it, were made and sold as souvenirs for GI’s, during the postwar occupation. Although this example is missing a scabbard, they were only sold with non-typical leather scabbards. Overall, quite good and rarely seen.
