Condition/Comments: Wonderful early Piels piece features gold imprint reverse painted onto a clear glass front pane, backed by a cobalt blue pane to create a sort of 2-piece sandwich. The condition of the clear front piece is very nice, with just minor chipping, mostly at the sharp points and outermost curves. The imprint is excellent, with no notable loss. There appears to be some wear (as light spots) to the surface of the glass on the imprint side, perhaps from particles caught between the two pieces of glass. The blue backing piece may not be original to the piece as it is not as cleanly cut as the front piece and shows no wear or chipping at the edges. Very impressive piece! 12 w x 14 h.
