A beautiful gilt bronze head fragment from a larger statue of Samvara also known as Chakrasamvara, a meditation deity featured in various schools of Hindu-Buddhist belief. The surface has nice remains of gilt pigment, with intricate headdress and jewelry details! Size: 3" L x 2" W x 5" H (7.6 cm x 5.1 cm x 12.7 cm); 8.5" H (21.6 cm) on included custom stand; gold gilt quality: 15% to 40%

Condition
Head is from a larger statue as shown and small perforation to base of hair top knot. Losses to gilt pigments, dark toning and patina. Softening and abrasions to surface details. Overall nice condition.
