MEDIUM: Original, Hand Pulled, Limited Edition Etching Prints
DIMENSIONS: Sight All approximately 10 x 15 inches plus extra wide margins.
CIRCA: 1932
ATTRIBUTION: Commissioned & Published for the George Washington Bicentennial.
DESCRIPTION: This lot is an important portfolio of original, limited edition etchings, each hand signed by 20 of the most important mid century American artists. For the Pageant of George Washington set, each artist was asked to complete a piece relating to Washington's private or public life. Each print was signed by the respective artist at the time of issue and this entire set bears those original signatures. We have many more detailed images including all signatures we can gladly provide. All etchings have a wide border margins and a watermark.
CONDITION: One print, by Childe Hassam has been framed (see auction item #640) and is listed separately from the 19 others left unframed, all of which are in untouched/unexposed condition.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Do not over expose to direct light. Mat or archive the prints with acid free materials.
