Description
Northwestern United States, Alaska, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A hand made stuffed walrus made from dense caribou fur with carved wood tusks and wood button nose and plastic button eyes. The body is stiff and although cute, this may have been a large display model to for a store to sell similar plush walrus souvenir toys. Size: 12" L x 8" W x 5.5" H (30.5 cm x 20.3 cm x 14 cm)

Provenance: private Alamo, California, USA collection, before 2000

Condition
Tusks have some chips and abrasions, and are slightly loose. Hide on flippers and underside fur has some staining and discoloration. Some shedding to hairs. Overall great antique / vintage condition.
