Other Notes: In 1927, Picasso was commissioned by the French art dealer and publisher Ambroise Vollard to create this etching, and 12 others, as an illustration for 19th century author Honore de Balzac's short story, "Le Chef-d'oeuvre inconnu" ("The Unknown Masterpiece"). Vollard eventually published 340 copies of this livre d'artist in 1931.

Condition
Overall good condition. With margins. Very light toning in the margins along the window opening of the mat. Not examined out of the frame.
