CDV portrait of seated blind man. [Cincinnati, Ohio], n.d. Verso printed with identification and short biography of the subject.
With CDV portrait of an unidentified amputee. Unmarked. The amputee is captured in full length portrait supporting himself on crutches.
He is finely dressed with a hat and velvet lapelled coat. One of his legs has been amputated, but the extent and cause are not revealed by the photographer.
L.D. Sine is captured seated holding a cane with his eyes closed. The verso biography details that he lost his site due to a "premature explosion of powder in 1851" when he was 22. It also explains his Gift Enterprise business in which he "will send a circular, containing a full list of prizes and a description of the manner of drawing, to any one who may order it."
Condition: some dampstaining to amputee CDV, otherwise minor even toning.
