A group of six silver tablespoons and a silver ladle, various makers, Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD, circa 1780-1790

Comprising a spoon by Joseph Richardson, Jr. (1752-1831) with drop to bowl back, engraved with monogram, “EE,” marked twice; a spoon by John McMullin (1765-1843) with drop to bowl back, engraved with monograms, “SB” and “RB,” marked; a pair of spoons by Joseph Lownes (1758-1820) with drops to bowl backs, engraved with monogram, “HC,” marked; a pair of spoons by Joseph Shoemaker (1765-1829), engraved with monogram, “JEJ,” and inscribed to underside of handle, “February 14, 1787,” marked; and a ladle by William Ball (1763-c. 1815) of Baltimore, MD, with drop to bowl back, engraved with monograms, “LPT” and “AES,” also inscribed with date “1790,” marked.
