Pair of Italian Gilt-Varnished Silver 'Mecca' Console Tables, Naples

37 1/4 x 43 x 20 1/4 in.

Sold Christie's, New York, May 24, 2000, Lot 335.

Condition

One with a repaired marble top on the back corner. A few areas of re-carving on both and evidence of old worming throughout. Both with minor nicks to the marble tops and gilded frames. Minor losses to some of the feet. Both with replacements. Beautifully carved and a lovely shape. Sound frames.
