Provenance: Property from the collection of The Manor of West Orange, NJ, an historic landmark haute cuisine restaurant and luxury private event estate
Notes/Literature: The Manor has been renowned for over a half-century for its flawless culinary creations, impeccable service, and finely curated display showcases. Described by The New York Times as being "as close as one can get to perfection", it was greatly influential to the cultural trends of American fine dining as well as the growth in the popularity of lavish wedding receptions. From grand dinners hosted for Ronald Reagan to visits by Liza Minelli, Phoebe Snow, Stevie Wonder, and a long list of celebrities of their day, it was perpetually a spot to see and be seen. It has been featured in television and movie productions including "The Sopranos" and the major motion picture "Cadillac Records". Until its closing in July 2023, it was one of the country's "must visit" locations and will forever hold its mark in the history of American hospitality.
