possibly Winchester area, late 18th century, boldly formed arms over two quatrefoil pierced splats, baluster turned supports, slightly tapered square legs, deeply shaped scrolled skirts, yellow upholstered seat with yellow pine platform, old mellow surface, yellow pine secondary, 31 x 32 x 28 in.

good structural condition with areas of early surface, some minor separations at seat frame joints, feet formerly fitted with casters (now removed), seat frame is early, upholstery could conceal parts of an original chamber pot frame, minor cracks to legs with one later pin at front leg, small wedge shaped loss at underside of center back, other minor cracks and surface wear with some small losses at turnings, one 3 x 3 inch old patch at back, one other very small corner patch at back
