English, each of concave square form with incised line decoration, 2-3/8 x 2-1/8 in.
Provenance: According to consignor notes, purchased in Alexandria, Virginia from the Livingston family by James Anderson and Richard Armstrong; Estate of Dr. J. Francis and Laquita Amos, Rocky Mount, Virginia
Note: According to family tradition, these shoe buckles belonged to Captain Henry Livingston, aide and guard to General George Washington.
