A rare Rolex chronograph stainless steel, model "Cosmograph Daytona Big Red" ref#6239, circa 1968. Serial #: 1852XXX
Movement: 17-jewel Valjoux, manual wind, adjusted to 3 positions, column wheel chronograph
Dial: Sunburst silvered, applied polished baton hour markers, black outer 1/5th second divisions with luminous dot five minute markers, sunken engine turned black subsidiary dials at 3, 6 and 9 for seconds, 30 minute and 12 hour recording, polished baton hands with luminous inserts, black arrow tipped chronograph hand
Case: Brushed and polished tonneau form, screw down back stamped 6239 inside, screw down crown flanked by twin screw down pushers. Stainless Steel bracelet with a Stainless Steel Deployant buckle.
Size: 37mm
No original papers but an official Rolex bill for a crown replacement for the watch which includes the serial number. Bezel is replaced and we have the original bezel in a rolex paper pouch.

Bezel and crown were replaced and are not original. We have the original Rolex receipt for the replacement of the crown, and we have the original bezel. Overall good vintage condition, with minor surface scratches throughout, some minor nicks to bezel and case edges, oxidation marks at twin pushers. Runs when powered at time of cataloguing, chronograph functions work well. No original papers but an original Rolex bill for the crown replacement (which includes the watch's serial number). Comes in a Rolex case, probably not original.
