(4to) bound in uniform gilt-stamped maroon morocco, raised spine bands, gilt decorated compartments, spines lettered in gilt, all edges gilt.Volumes 1 and 2, Selected Birds of America and Selected Quadrupeds of North America, were issued in 1977 as a two-volume set. First editions thus. Those included here are No. 1703 of 5,000 limited copies. Volumes 3 to 10 were issued in 1978 and 1979 and are designated on spine and title pages as American Wildlife Heritage Nos. 3-10. An 11th volume, being a master index to the series, was issued in 1980.
