Item Details
Description
Lot of antique postcards as shown. Not all cards may be described so please review closely. Includes an amazing partially real photo postcard titled Christmas Greetings from Boston, Mass which has a colorized photo of Faneuil Hall highlighted with glitter inside of a big snowball. A girl in a pink dress - also highlighted with glitter and also from a real photo, looks back at the camera with almost a devilish smirk and knowing look in her eyes as though she was the early 1900s version of the famous "Disaster Girl" photo. Another with an undivided back and unmailed with a Providence, Rhode Island addressee show two pinecone men or elves or Santas pulling and pushing a sleigh of toys to an unknown destination. Yet another card is of an early car adorned with mistletoe and full of toys being driven by a teddy bear. The back of the card has a Holyoke, Massachusetts postmark and addressee and also has a 1909 American Red Cross non - postage stamp affixed to the top left. Another card is of two children - one dressed in a Santa style red and white outfit, drawn by Ellen Clapsaddle and printed by Wolf & Co of New York with a Hudson, Massachusetts addressee. On another card a girl is using a phone - relatively new at the time - to call someone. Additionally - another card is a real photo (RPPC) card of a girl standing in front of a Christmas tree. Most if not all from the early 1900's to 1910's. Some may be embossed or have glitter. Mostly New England postmarks and addressees.
