A very fine Chinese silk embroidery made for a wedding celebration with the bride and grown sewn into the center of the textile. Appears to be all hand sewn, probably early to mid 19th century. The 4 Chinese characters translate to a "Hundred Years of Harmony and Union". There are some thread losses to the letter on the bottom left corner, else appears in very good condition. Total frame size 27" x 30 1/2". The back is sealed, so it has not been examined out of frame and the condition report represents what is visible.
