This oil on canvas painting with antique gilt floral frame, which features an impressionist composition, is attributed to Le Pho (1907-2001), a French-Vietnamese painter known for his semi-Impressionist studies of flowers and figures. The painting is signed “Le Pho” on the bottom right corner and has a label on the verso of WALLY FINDLAY GALLERIES, as well as a stamp on the verso of Galerie de Francony and two other red stamps. The painting measures 64.7 x 49.5 cm (25.5" x 19.5"), while the frame measures 84 x 68.5 cm (33" x 27"). Le Pho’s works are also held in the collections of several other prominent museums and galleries around the world, including the Museum für Neue Kunst Freiburg in Germany, the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris, the Vietnam Museum of Modern Art, and the Oklahoma Art Center.
