The Stipula Prometheia collectible fountain pen is a unique pen with a sculptural representation of the myth of Prometheus, who stole fire from the gods of ancient Greece and gave it to humans. This masterpiece was designed by the Italian sculptor Paolo Cerrini and made in only 398 numbered silver pennies. According to the myth, Prometheus against the will of the gods stole fire from Olympus and gave it to mortals. Along with fire came logic, knowledge, technology and the beginnings of civilisation. As the gods wanted to keep fire away from humans, they decided to punish Prometheus. So the titan Prometheus was chained to a mountain and condemned forever to stay there where every day an eagle - symbol of Zeus - devoured his liver. The liver would regenerate during the night, the eagle would return the next night, and so Prometheus' torment would last forever. A complex myth with the human spectator that paradoxically resembles the myth of the forbidden tree for whose fruit Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden.
The base material of the pen is black luxury resin, but all the sculptural work is in pure silver. On the cap we find the relief figure of Prometheus and the Eagle among the rocks. On the body of the pen, the golden lightning bolt symbolising the wrath of the god Zeus stands out among the glyphic touches. This pen has a wide nib made of 18 carat gold in 2 colours.
