A pair of large, porcelain Phoenix birds perched on a cliff. The birds rest with one paw on ling zhi: a lacquered tree fungus that gives strength and immortality. The plumage and the rock are modeled in relief and brightly painted in thin pink, green, yellow enamels. Period: Late Qing (1644-1912). Height: 47-48 cm.
