Vintage Murano Glass & Carved Beaded Necklace, Mid-Century, 24" this has black beads with Murano/Venetian glass in green purple and white down three of the segmented sections of the beads. The beads are appx. 16.5mm to 17mm. Black with segments of solid black and three of the designed glass. There are a total of three of those beads. four carved beads which look like bone but I believe are a resin or plAstic - they have intricated cut-outs that look like old world carvings. Two are the size of the black and Murano beads and two are are smaller at 11.3mm with a different design, mostly small holes with a frame around the opening. The remaining beads are alternating in white and black, the black are faceted glass beads at 6.5mm and the others are white beads that co uld be a stone or glazed stonewaretype bead. There are two barrel beads of the same material that are flanked on either side by an oval glass bead with a faceted belt that goes around the middle. Very interesting old necklace. Spring clasp, gold filled. 1950's or earlier. Good condition with some wear and some of the sm aller white beads could be cleaned as t hey have light tinting from wear. Not signed by the maker.
