Description
St. Petersburg, Vladimir Gordon, 1908 - 1917.
Russian silver-mounted cut-glass claret jug, of a tapering cylindrical form cut with intricate star and sunburst patterns to the body, featuring the silver rim mount with a hinged silver gilt cover, repousse stiff leaf border and foliate thumb-piece and an elegant angular handle.
Hallmarks: V. Gordon, SP, in Cyrillic, 84 Russian silver standard, kokoshnik marks.
Note: Vladimir Alekseevich Gordon was an outstanding Russian silversmith, working on orders from Faberge and Bolin.

Condition
Very good condition. Minor scratching to the bottom and light wear, associated with age.
