Includes a depiction of woman cowering in a tree while a pack of wolves wait beneath her, and a depiction of a cloaked figure tugging the hair of a young woman while a man stares down the cloaked figure with sword drawn. Waugh often painted religious scenes and depictions of Dutch life, as well as illustrating children's books with her lifelong companion Amy Blanchard. She exhibited at the 1893 Columbian Exhibition and was the half sister of fellow artist Frederick Judd Waugh.
