Description
Two French Gilt Bronze Carriage Alarm Clocks, 19th c., by Aiguilles, one marked Henry Capt, Geneva, on the movement, in the original leather carrying case; the second with an ornate relief decorated gilt bronze face, Shorter- H.- 5 5/8 in., W.- 4 in., D.- 3 1/2 in.; Taller- H.- 6 in., W.- 4 1/8 in., D.- 3 5/8 in. (2 Pcs.) Provenance: Property from a Gentleman Antiquarian and Dealer, Mandeville, Louisiana.
Condition
Pretty examples. Fitted case with wear and losses, torn at edges. Both appear to be mechanically complete. Light pitting and wear to gilt cases. Overall good condition.
