CV, 1827-1838, aquatint engraving with original hand-coloring on J Whatman watermarked paper, published Robert Havell, London, presented in a wood frame, Plate- H.- 19 1/4 in., W.- 12 in., Framed- H.- 41 1/2 in., W.- 28 1/2 in. Provenance: The Durand Estate, Plaquemine (Iberville Parish), Louisiana.
Condition
Overall condition aligns with typical wear from age and use. Some signs of foxing can be seen, but it's important to note that certain spots, especially those in the upper center and upper right, are on the glass and not on the mat. The paper is slightly toned throughout and there is light mat burn visible. Additionally, there is a slight cockling present in the paper sheet.
