Chippendale Carved Cherry Chest on Chest, Connecticut River Valley, c. 1760-80. Molded swan's neck cresting and three flame-carved urn finials above a case of cockbead-molded drawers with fan-carved central drawer and four graduated drawers below, all flanked by reeded quarter columns; the lower case of three cockbead-molded graduated drawers flanked by reeded quarter columns and raised on ogee bracket feet, (refinished, patches to feet and drawer runners, top 2 1/4 inches of central plinth restored, finials may be replaced, original brasses), ht. 87 1/2, wd. 40 3/4, dp. 20 in.
