Carved and White-painted Bust of a Veiled Woman, after Fra Filippo Lippi (Italian, 1457-1504), America or Europe, late 19th century. Laminated wooden block carved to depict head-and-shoulder portrait of a young woman wearing a beaded veil and gown layered with loose pleats, traces of blue, yellow, and red paint on gesso and painted surface, 45cm wide, 27cm deep, 53cm high (18in wide, 11in deep, 21in high).
