George D. Hatch, North Attleboro, Mass., "Baltimore" or "figure 8" style round bottom banjo clock, grain painted softwood case, painted metal dial inscribed "W. Riggs, Philada", steel moon hands, and 8 day time only weight driven brass movement
Condition
case retains the original grain painted finish with graining well pronounced and intact, lower round bottom with separation repair from weight fall, both tablets original with evidence of restoration to the black background on each, top glass also original, pendulum bob and rod are replacements as Attleboro banjos characteristically had a detachable bob, keystone looks period and is possibly original, baffle sections are replacements, door hinges are replacements, painted dial is original with "W. Riggs" portion of the inscription probably a later restoration with applied decal lettering, original hands, weight a replacement., ACCESSORIES: Pendulum, Winding crank, Weight, circa 1860
