Vacheron & Constantin, Geneva, an early 20th century gold pocket watch, 17 jewels, stem wind and set adjusted to 6 positions, temperature and isochronism nickel bar movement with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance in a 14 karat, yellow gold, hinged back and snap bezel open face case, the back with engraving of the upper section of the Bankers Trust building in Manhattan, and gold cuvette engraved "Presented By Bankers Trust Company To William H. Paret In Commemoration Of His Twenty Five Years Of Service 1910 - 1935", above a hieroglyph rebus, arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial with blued steel moon hands, serial #388955, 44.5mm, 58.9g TW, together with a 19th century silver Swiss key wind and set pocket watch with cuvette signed "Huguenin & Jacot"
Condition
CASE: Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on cuvette; Band and covers with localized case knife marks; Acrylic crystal yellowed; Bow a bit loose; Crown sitting a bit high; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: minor dirt, otherwise very good. HANDS: With rust and losses. MOVEMENT PLATES: A few very fine scratches on plate; Crown wheel bridge with a few pin pricks ; Minor, scattered spotting; Regulator and upper endstone setting with localized oxide; Specks of dirt. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). Huguenin lacking bow, movement oily, good staff, not running., circa 1920
