Boston Clock Co., Boston, Mass., hanging regulator clock in an Eastlake style cherry case, painted metal dial with wooden bezel, blued steel moon hands, and 8 day, weight driven brass timepiece movement
Condition
cherry case in an original finish with minor surface marks and scratches throughout, top right door corner bracket a replacement, knob may be a later addition, original glass, bottom bracket is very old but made up of individual pieces glued together and possibly a later replacement, original hands, original painted dial with inpainted repair at the twelve position and with loss at mounting screws, at numeral ten and in center ring, original gilded pendulum rod and damascened nickel plated bob, movement clean, inscribed "Boston Clock Co." The company was formed in 1884, formerly Harvard Clock Company. In 1885 it became Eastman Clock Company, the final predecessor to the Chelsea Clock Company, which it became in 1897., ACCESSORIES: Pendulum, circa 1884
