Description
This wood and iron early piece of 20th century machinery was used for crushing grapes for the purpose of making wine, patented November 29th, 1921. The top hopper where the grapes would be put in is labeled, but unfortunately the manufacturer and what is possibly the size of the hopper being used is illegible, but reads like it might be "Medium." All original iron gears, replaced wood legs and castors. Comes complete with two grape bins and even an original wooden tool used to crush the grapes and turn the handle. A very early piece of winemaking memorabilia. CONDITION: This machine shows its age, with some areas of scuffs, oxidation, surface rust to the metal components, some areas of wear to the wood frame, but it has a great look and would be a great addition to any wine cellar, a wonderful survivor. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Good). Dimensions: 21" x 36" x 50".
CORRECTION: Standard is the manufacturer of this press and the size is Medium.
