3 Porcelain Vases: a large Japanese Vase in Blue crackle Monochrome Satsuma, well painted with birds and blossoming branches in raised gold; a Chinese Jingdezhen underglaze red crackle vase with clear glazed base with underglaze blue mark; together with a "partridge feather" glazed vase with 2 handles and an unglazed slip covered base with indistinct impressed mark. Height of Satsuma blue & gold vase 14 1/4 inches (36 cm.). PROVENANCE: Property from the Collection of Steven J. Harvis, New York with label to bottom of "partridge feather" glazed vase #266.
Condition
Light age related wear to each, light wear to gilding on Satsuma vase with base drilled through a gilt calligraphy mark; the underglaze red vase with 2 adjacent chips re-stuck with small associated glaze losses.
