Description
TOWLE AND OTHER STERLING SILVER ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising a basket by Towle Silversmiths of Newburyport, MA with bail handle engraved "L", a reticulated inner rim, and a round foot, an "Adam" tall compote by Matthews Co. of Newark, NJ having weighted base, a pair of weighted salt and pepper shakers by Duchin Creations of New York City, NY, and a candle snuffer with possibly later applied fob-type tip and a scrolled element. Each piece marked for sterling fineness, most with maker's marks. Total weight of basket and snuffer: 7.320 ozt. Late 19th/20th century. Basket 5 1/2" HOA, 7 1/2" D rim.

Condition
Fair to good overall condition with wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, one or more dents, slight bending, and/or slight worn spots; basket with a slight bend to well causing it to wobble.
