RUSSIAN ENAMELED STERLING AND 0.916 SILVER OPEN SALT AND SALT SPOON ASSEMBLED SET, comprising a 0.916 open salt having a round-form well with enameled exterior in dark blue, light blue, white, and red colors, and a sterling salt spoon with gilt finish and enameled accents to handle. Each impressed with unidentified maker's marks, open salt with workman's head and hammer hallmark utilized from 1927 to 1958 having St. Petersburg city and "916" marks, spoon with hammer and sickle hallmark used starting in 1958 having city and "925" marks. Total weight including enamel: 1.080 ozt. 20th century. Open salt 7/8" H, 1 1/2" D rim.

Condition
Very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks; open salt with possibly one or a few minute/minor flakes to enamel, likely losses to gilt finish and some heavy scratches to interior; spoon with slight bending at terminal of handle near bowl.
