French Made Leather Cased Octagonal Pocket Sundial, by Jean Baptiste Nicolas Delure (1695-1766), Paris, with engraved Roman numeral sundial scale, engraved European cities and Arabic numeral latitude settings, hinged gnomon, inset compass with glass cover, with engraved maker's name below compass, in original fitted leather case, sundial only: 2 5/8" x 2 1/4", case: 3" x 2 1/2". Case slightly warped (doesn't fully close).
