Leica Reporter 250 GG Nr. 353683 with 50mm Elmar f3,5 Nr. 572587 with its KOOBF cassettes. The motorized Cam has been removed. The vulcanite has been patched and the base plate is altered and overpainted. Working. The shutter dial has been replaced. Made in 1943. This camera is listed as missing in the Leica records. This camera was part of the Al?s Candid Photos professional gear, owned by Al Bregin who founded the company in 1946. Still operating in Chicago today, the venerable photographic studio chose Leica as its preferred gear from the very beginning, and now these cameras and lenses are offered as historical collectibles with a special Chicago connection. The camera - as well as Lots 89, 98 and 240 have remained in the Bregin family from their initial purchase until today. Condition: Excellent
