Each scroll- and ruffle-carved serpentine top rail above a pierced interlaced back-splat carved with acanthus leaves and scrolls, the over-upholstered seat raised on ruffle-carved cabriole legs ending in hoofed feet, the leg backs carved with fetlocks; one rail with printed partial label: Allens' Depositories / Bournemouth West (with crayoned number 3).

Previous restorations, both top rails with repaired breaks and replacements, both backsplat shoes with recent nails and one back splat with repaired break to acanthus leaves, nailed repaired breaks to tops of both front legs, other chair with rubbing to left scroll of top rail, sunfading to backs of both, old marks and scratches, wear to front feet of both chairs; both with later corner blocks to seat underside
