Roman Empire & Judea, 2nd century BCE to 4th century CE; Near East / Central Asia, Iran, Persian / Ottoman Empire, ca. 10th to 18th century CE; Near East / North Africa, Bedouin culture, ca. 19th to 20th century CE. A collection of 6 ancient silver and bronze rings from ancient Roman and Persian cultures. The bronze ring with a partial band has an ovoid face etched with cornucopias, and likely comes from the Roman Empire, possibly Judea. The other Roman rings include a tiny bronze signet with clasped hands, and a larger bronze band with a piece of inlaid glass. The later Medieval to Ottoman Empire Islamic rings are is 68% to 73% silver with a circular face etched with prayers, verses, or the name of the owner, and a slightly larger bronze ring with incised motifs. The raised dotted ring is likely from Bedouin culture and cast from 50% to 72% silver. Size of largest ring face: 0.65" Diameter (1.7 cm); US ring size: 7; silver quality: 50% to 73%

Condition
One ring missing part of band as shown. Glass inlay is chipped. Clasped hand ring has pitting and abrasions, motifs are soft. Dark & green patina and toning on all. The 5 rings with intact bands are wearable and a variety of sizes.
