Description
Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom to Third Intermediate Period, 19th to 25th Dynasty, ca. 1292 to 664 BCE. A mold-formed, turquoise-glazed faience plaque pendant featuring the cartouche of Pharaoh Thutmose III (18th Dynasty, ca. 1479 to 1425 BCE), a rearing uraeus cobra with a sun disc, and a wadjet eye above; a suspension loop is on top. Size: 0.78" W x 1.2" H (2 cm x 3 cm)
Provenance: private Danvers, Massachusetts, USA collection, acquired by descent; ex-USA collection, acquired before 2000

Minor abrasions, light softening to some finer details, darkening to glaze, and some surface roughness, otherwise intact and excellent. Great preservation to hieroglyphs in cartouche.
