Chaise longue designed by the Italian Zeno Nugari for Roche Bobois. It is a very high quality piece, whose body is made of moulded beech and the base is made of chromed metal. The seat is in foam and wadding, on an XL elastic belt suspension. This chaise longue was commissioned to be part of an architect's furnishing project, so a top model was requested as well as a CAT H-coloured leather finish. On the underside there is a "Made in Italy" label. The design of this lounger is a continuation of the modern approaches of Le Corbusier and Van der Rohe, where the maxim was simple and sober designs, based on pure lines and using top quality materials to create sophisticated pieces.
The prestigious Bobois house was founded in the 1960s after the union of two families, the Roches and the Chouchans, both specialising in the sale of furniture. Over the decades they have managed to establish themselves as one of the most important luxury decoration houses in the world, knowing how to combine and reinterpret the French furniture tradition with foreign influences, both Nordic and Bauhaus.
