CARLO BUGATTI (Milan, Italy, 1856-1940, Molsheim, France). Corner bookcase, 1900. Walnut wood, marquetry of tin, silk and copper. It has a circular mirror framed by a copper border and hidden by bangs of silk threads with copper applications. There are some oriental inscriptions around the cabinet and in a cartouche what could possibly be Bugatti's own signature (on the lower right panel). The left mirror has been replaced and the right one shows losses of the silver metal. The wood shows signs of wear and patina commensurate with the age of the piece. Measurements: 149 x 42.5 x 22 cm.
