Description
Born in Italy, Guido Faleschini (1924-1971) earned a degree in architecture from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. His brief career (he passed away in his 40s) focused on architectural renovations and furniture designs. He created many mid-century iconic pieces for Chromo SA and Artflex in Switzerland as well as a lot of high-end luxurious pieces built with impeccable craftsmanship made for the Mariani Pace Collection. His work is featured in the design collections of MOMA in NYC and at the V&A in London. These four elegant cabinets come to us directly from the personal collection of Major League Baseball star Lou Brock (1939-2020). Brock enjoyed a two-decade career, mostly out in left field with the St. Louis Cardinals. Brock is best known for having stolen 938 bases, for his 900 RBI, and for having hit 149 home runs--and he has been in the National Baseball Hall of Fame since 1985. After his retirement as a player, he served the Cardinals as a coach. Provenance: MLB Hall of Famer Lou Brock, St. Louis, MO. Dimensions of each section: 56 1/2 x 23 1/2 inches
