Description
DESCRIPTION: Antique Austrian Viennese Ludwig Osthalder mantle clock depicting a clock movement with pendulum. By Austrian master clockmaker Ludwig Osthalder. Represents a portico supported by four columns on a wooden base. The dial is made of ornate brass representing winged putti cherub figures and a bouquet of roses. The outer rim in white has black painted Arabic numerals, and signature maker ‘Osthalder in Wien’. Ludwig Osthalder was an Austrian master clockmaker from 1804 until 1853, apprentice form Johann Rau. Includes pendulum and key.
