Description

DESCRIPTION: Antique Austrian Viennese Ludwig Osthalder mantle clock depicting a clock movement with pendulum. By Austrian master clockmaker Ludwig Osthalder. Represents a portico supported by four columns on a wooden base. The dial is made of ornate brass representing winged putti cherub figures and a bouquet of roses. The outer rim in white has black painted Arabic numerals, and signature maker â€˜Osthalder in Wienâ€™. Ludwig Osthalder was an Austrian master clockmaker from 1804 until 1853, apprentice form Johann Rau. Includes pendulum and key.
