Details:

August 5, 1799 dispute document between George Buckmaster, boat-builder and Nevingson Greenard, ship joiner, both of the seventh ward, New York City, over financial matters.  The condition of this recognizance was that George Buckmaster was to appear before the next session of the Court of General Sessions of the Peace, and in the meantime, keep the peace and be of good behavior, particularly toward Henry Hyde. 

The document is signed by Theo. Buhman, special justice for preserving the peace.

The document measures approximately 7.25 x 9.25". Overall in excellent condition with a tape repair on the verso.
