Napoleon Bonaparte, custom display featuring a swatch of leather from a pair of leg coverings once used and owned by French military commander .
The affixed leather swatch measures approximately slightly less than .5" x .5" and has been affixed to an 8.5 x 11" University Archives certification display sheet. This display includes a reproduction image (not to scale) of the leather pant covering this relic was sourced as well as a reproduction of the letter detailing how the relic was obtained.

Provenance: Ex-Nicholson Napoleon Collection; Ex-Everett Roebuck (Basktop, Texas); Ex-Olive Richie (Lima, Ohio); Ex-University Archives. Accompanied by a copy of a handwritten letter dated November 24, 1914 detailing how and when this intriguing Napoleon relic was obtained; an auction catalog description and certificate; and several newspaper clippings.Authentication:
