A William IV Scottish silver coffee pot
marks for William Jamieson and also Elder & Co, Edinburgh 1834
Baluster form, acanthus rim and embossed either side with an acanthus scroll cartouche centred with engraved crest and motto SANS TACHE and armorial, hinged shaped dome cover with leafy finial, leaf embellished spout and scroll handle with ivory insulators, on a circular foot, interior with unmarked muslin ring, height 29cm, weight total 31.9oz.

The item within this lot containing ivory has been registered in accordance with the Ivory Act (Section 10). With non-transferable reference (87YSBX1K).
These the arms and motto for the Scottish family of NAPIER. A descendant line of George NAPIER (1771-1846) who in 1795 married Janet HENDERSON.
