A 19th century Danish silver pitcher
Rasmus Jensen (1841-1922), Horsens circa 1875, incuse stamped R JENSEN and HORSENS
Of baluster form, plain polished with shaped flared rim, to one side a tongue-capped high scroll handle, the main body engraved with a winged angel holding a bowl of fruit, ivy motifs around the handle, an inscription beneath in Danish for 'Neergaard' and dated '21 Mai 1875', all on a pedestal stepped foot, height 22cm, weight 12.5oz.
